Day 4: Gruene Hall
- A nice late morning we all enjoyed the slower pace. Fresh watermelon and Pillsbury Crescents surrounded by cups of coffee. A whole lot of heaven
- Dad showed me some energy movements from Donna Edden. Connect heaven and Earth it gave me a real jolt!
- Got cleaned up and ready to tackle the the dance hall!
- Cruising down the back roads I discovered everything is bigger in Texas! You should have seen the size of those white sheep!!!!!
- We sat down and had a lovely round of fried avocado's, sheep tacos (wow they sure tasted like beef), and beefycheesy nachos!
- Pulling into Gruine Hall we got a couple of dressed DosXX and we couldn't sit still to that music.
- Jena and I were seat dancing!
- The walls were filled with the legends that had played there!!!
- B.B. leave Lucille for me!!!
- The sweetest young girl of 80 was kicking up the dance floor and had legs both Jena and I were jealous of! Oh how we all danced it up!
- Later we learned she spent a bunch of life in Lakewood, CO. Some time back her husband moved out of her life, and her doctor said she was gonna need to find a new dance partner. With a great big 'ole smile she told my Dad and I she has been dancing by herself ever since.
- The next real foot stomper Jena said, "this is for your husband James" and the two of them just danced.
- My Dad enjoyed the second set at the back of the oldest dance hall in Texas, and he was stomp'n his foot to "Johnny Be Good"! He was an amazing guitar player!
- What a day, and it has only just begun!
