Day 6: Difficult departures and heading to Gainesville
- Day five ended around the table drinking wine, talking about fishing and how I should go back to teaching if I love it sooo much:-) Never let anyone keep you down Jena said!
- Interesting fact, the first time I went fishing as a teenager I caught a duck. My date was not overly impressed :-)
- As the red wine disappeared Rainee joined Jena, Dad and myself with some water melon. Rainee told us that night that the first time she ate water melon she watched for the next month if she was gonna be pregnant. The watermelon had seeds! We all chuckled remembering our own childhood fears of watermelons:-)
- After retiring it took Jena and I long while before we could crash!
- The morning came quickly, and after fighting the alarm a little I got up and started making some scones. Turned pretty good, yummy!
- Jena headed off to work and Dad and I retired to the big, beautiful, southern porch, drank coffee and was kindly attacked/molested by Sooner. In fact Sooner likes us sooo much he brought us a half full bud light beer can from a neighbors yard.
- Dad, myself and Rainee sat and talked a it before we headed off. We are gonna miss that girl! Until next time Rainee!!!
- Myself being a bit….. tired… navigated while Dad took us out of port.
- The ride was pretty and Dad figured out how to make sure we only ran back roads.
- Dad practices some rally racing, go Dad!!!
- Stopped off at Woods Cemetery. a quiet kind of beautiful
- We hit a frightening storm heading toward I-35, black sky with rain and hail that seemed to attack us from N, then S, then W. the car sure is clean!
- Dad decided we should get a room in Gaineville! Some Apple Bee's philosophical discussions and a lovely dressed DosXX.
- Night is slow coming for me, a little wash, a frustrating internet. Dad is asleep and I am not far behind!
